Join us at the 2010 Natural Gas Expo in Coudersport, Pennsylvania!
Stop in for the opportunity to meet and understand the world of Natural Gas and Marcellus Shale Industries and what it takes to be in the industry.
Development of the Marcellus Shale natural gas play is expected to create more than 98,000 jobs and contribute over $14 billion into the state's economy in 2010, according to a recent report released by the Pennsylvania State University College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. During 2008, natural gas production added more than 29,000 new jobs, $240 million in local and state tax revenue and $2.3 billion to the state's economy.
Despite the recent downturn in the economy and lower natural gas prices, the industry is still committed to moving forward in the play. Drilling through May 2009 is 22% above the same period in 2008 while for the entire US drilling is down 21% during the first quarter. This has generated many new opportunities for existing businesses as well as the prospect of new ones.
The Natural Gas Expo is intended to bring together the oil and gas industry and the local business entrepreneurs to explore the opportunities that abound within the gas play. We want our local businesses to benefit from this opportunity as well - to grow their business and provide more good jobs.
